As a result, we have designed our own training program to cater for the specific needs of our employees and customers.
The Allied Pickfords Training Programme is unique to our industry and was designed to assist in the skill-set development of our employees. Our Training Manager provides one-on-one training of our staff in areas such as:
- Customer Service
- Health & Safety
- Export Wrapping and Protection
- Behaviour in the client’s home
- Equal Employment Opportunity
- Forms and Documentation
- Packing and Loading
- Stowing of containers and trucks
At Allied Pickfords we pride ourselves on our strong safety record and the quality of our staff. The Allied Pickfords Removalist Training programme is an investment in the development of our employees.
Investing in Education
In addition to our in-house training, Allied Pickfords is also the first company in New Zealand to offer their staff the opportunity to get their National Certificate in Domestic and International Relocation Operations (Level 2).
Offered by the Mito ITO, this course involves a mix of class room learning with on-the-job training to pack, wrap, carry and stow goods for a national standard. There are also standards within the certificate that focus on workplace safety and customer service.
Currently, more than 60 Allied Pickfords staff have completed the certificate and we look forward to other staff members furthering their education and skills in partnership with MITO.
