To ensure a high level of standard, Allied Pickfords trains its staff with industry-recognised qualifications.
The National Certificate in Domestic and International Relocation Operations (Level 2) provides Allied Pickfords staff with industry skills through training, and differentiates our business from the rest. We are the first company in New Zealand to offer this qualification.
Staff members are assessed in class rooms and on the job to pack, wrap, carry and stow goods to a national standard. The qualification, which also includes standards relating to health and safety, customer service and measurement, is nationally recognized. Pickfords' employees completing the training will receive a National Certificate, registered on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework.
The qualification covers both Domestic and International Relocation Operations standards, and there is a mix of theoretical and practical on the job training modules, including:
- Preparing and planning a relocation operation
- Packing and wrapping (domestic and international)
- Stowing (domestic and international)
- Business Relocations
- Load handling
- Using standard units of measurement
- Health and safety
- Customer service
All staff are registered with NZQA and are trained and tested to NZQA National Certificate.
